SEEN/HEARD

How do you want to be seen? How do you want to be heard?

Come and join us round the table for lunchtime stories, poetry and song – tender and rambunctious, urgent and hopeful – from people in Cornwall who’ve experienced homelessness.

Seen/Heard is a performative meal to be shared, with moments of beauty, a menu of stories, a difficult choice or two and extra helpings of rhythm and song, all created by our brilliant participants over the last few months. Small amounts of food will be served as part of the performance.

Learn the recipes for their lives, hear songs in which secrets are told.

Consider what it means to belong and what home can become,

when all that separates us is circumstances.

How would you like to be seen?

How would you like to be heard?

This one-off event takes place at 1.30pm at Chapter House, Truro Cathedral, on Friday 24th May.

This is free event – Donations welcome – BOOK TICKETS HERE

And look out for our cassette players containing stories from the group which are currently on a magical mystery tour around the county. Follow #SeenHeard to find out more.

Seen/Heard has been co-created by Sarah Levinsky, Vicky Abbott, Karen Pirie, Jodie Walton, Rhys Wynne Jones, and the Relentlessly Burdened Poet, with design support from Mydd Pharo and food by Lou from OST Eatery.

Seen/Heard has been developed in partnership with St Petrocs and is part of Wildworks Theatre’s Hello Stranger project led by Wildworks and funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
