Get the newsletter

At the start of 2025 we set out to find our next Chairperson to our Board of Trustees. We are now delighted to announce the appointment of David Prior.

David joins us with a rich and diverse background spanning music, sound art, and leadership in both academic and creative spheres. He is a composer, artist, and academic leader based in Cornwall. David has created award-winning works exhibited globally and he is also the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Research and Knowledge Exchange at Falmouth University.

With his extensive experience, David is the perfect fit to help guide Wildworks into its next exciting chapter. His vision for the future is one that pushes boundaries and amplifies the transformative power of theatre.

In his new role, David will be working alongside our co-CEOs, Gwen Scolding and Nathan Jackson, as we continue to evolve and explore new horizons in storytelling. The journey ahead promises to be as ambitious and bold as the work we create.

David said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed Chair of the Board of Trustees for Wildworks. It’s a real honour to be able to serve this incredible organisation, which has done so much for the cultural fabric of Cornwall, and consistently operates at the boundaries of theatre-making. Wildworks’ portfolio is dizzying, and I’m excited to be playing a part in the company’s exciting future.”

Gwendolen Scolding, Executive Director and co-CEO of Wildworks, also shares her enthusiasm:
“We are delighted to welcome David as our new Chair. His exceptional background in the arts, academia, and collaborative creative projects aligns perfectly with Wildworks’ vision. With his guidance, we are confident that Wildworks will continue to grow and evolve, both creatively and organisationally. We look forward to working together with David to help us take the company into this next exciting phase.”

Congratulations, David!
